"To the sane and free, it will hardly seem necessary to cross the continent in search of wild beauty, however easy the way, for they find it in abundance wherever they chance to be." John Muir
Photography is my passion, and “Wild Beauty” is my pursuit, especially in West Virginia where beauty abounds. Here, you don't have to venture far to find nature at her best.
I love to search for scenic treasures hidden off the beaten path and to share these West Virginia “jewels” with others.
My camera is more than my eye: it’s a lens into my heart and soul. I want to share with you more than the image of beauty, but how it feels to behold these breathtaking beauties for the first time.
Wild Beauty is about discovery, about renewal, and about awakening a sense of awe at the splendor that surrounds us.
Though not native to the State, Ed and his wife Phyllis feel right at home in West Virginia. They met in Elkins, spent a couple of years in Morgantown, and have lived in Beckley for 24 years. They enjoy living in southern West Virginia because of all the opportunities to hike and experience the outdoors in nearby State Parks, the New River Gorge, and National Forest Lands. A retired minister for the Church of Christ, Ed resumed a career as a geologic consultant in the energy field. He and Phyllis hike every chance they get. They're especially interested in exploring and photographing out-of-the-way scenic wonders. Ed is a juried fine arts photographer at Tamarack. His articles and photographs appear regularly in Wonderful West Virginia and West Virginia South magazines.
